What are you going to do
You don't learn our profession from a book, which is why you travel to all our locations in the UK and across Europe during your Management Traineeship of 18 months. This way you will get to know the entire production line and production processes of Van Hessen. These processes run from the intestinal rooms (separate rooms in or directly next to a slaughterhouse) to the sorting factories and from purchasing to sales. Of course, you will also become acquainted with the various management areas, and you will develop your management skills such as leadership with the aim of developing into a key position within the Van Hessen Group. As a trainee, you really get to know Van Hessen inside and out!

Although you will travel the UK and further afield for the role during this time, you will never be alone and will be guided and supported by a mentor, so you can get the best out of yourself on your development trajectory.  You will visit slaughterhouses, our subsidiaries and companies from the meat processing industry and of course our customers.  During this time, you will take on projects independently and as you progress through the scheme given more and more responsibities preparing you for the unique working environment at Van Hessen!

Who you are

• Degree qualified in either Commercial & Business Economics, Business Administration, Economics, Management or related.
• You are firmly in your shoes, make contact quickly, can think critically and have a "can do" attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team player mentality with the ability to work independently towards goals
• Excellent organisational skill’s including prioritisation, scheduling and time management
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Valid driver’s license
